Unlocking Creativity: How I Found My Passion for Visual Art

Feeling unsupported and isolated during the tumultuous teenage years is a common experience for many. The desire to escape reality and find a sense of belonging can be overwhelming. For me, the answer to navigating these feelings of angst, isolation, fear and anxiety came in the form of music and visual art.

Visual art became a way to express my inner thoughts and emotions in a productive manner. It provided a platform to further cultivate my inner being and bring it out to the world. Through creativity, a connection to something bigger than myself was established, creating a sense of belonging and purpose. Each brushstroke was a step away from the mundane and into a realm where their inner self could dance freely, unencumbered by judgment or expectation.

Engaging in visual art allowed for the development of a positive relationship with myself and the building of confidence. Each piece created was a journey from start to finish, with no room for quitting before completion. Mistakes were embraced and incorporated into the design, highlighting the imperfections that make each creation unique.

Imperfections were not flaws but rather integral parts of the design, adding depth and character to the finished masterpiece. In the world of visual art, perfection is an illusion, and growth stems from the willingness to incorporate mistakes into the narrative.

Visual art became more than just a creative outlet; it was a catalyst for inner change, a bridge that connected me to the unseen worlds of my inner self and soul. Each stroke of the brush, each splash of color, was a journey into the depths of my being, a journey that brought me closer to a sense of inspiration, connection, and surrender.

As I grew older, the inner space of creativity continued to beckon, pulling me back into a realm where art was not just a form of expression but a way to heal my mind and soul. Through visual art, I found solace, inspiration, and a profound sense of connection.

So, to everyone out there feeling lost in the chaos of life, remember this: art is not just about what you see, but about what you feel. Let your creativity be your guide, your confidant, and your mirror to the soul. Embrace the imperfections, dance with the colors, and let your inner world shine through.

Each item I create has purpose for me and I hope that, when you purchase and wear one of my products, you are reminded that you are unique, special and just perfect with all your imperfections! May you walk in beauty.

In addition to helping me become the person I am today, visual art has enhanced critical learning skill that I carry with me today. Create art and wear art!
